Greetings to all schools, parents, coaches and players of the Coca Cola League and Greenfields Cup.

It is very pleasing to announce that this year we have a total of over 230 teams comprising boys and girls from ages Under 8 to Under 19. More than 60 schools are now part of this growing football schools program and we are continually striving to improve the League and Cup format for the benefit of the 2500 or more players.

Again we are indebted to our main sponsors of Coca Coal and Greenfields whose generous support is invaluable in making this great event possible. Their continued support makes it possible for our children to have the opportunity to compete and enjoy what is the probably the best schools football league and cup in the Region.

Up to this week, we have played a total of 496 League games and are closing in on the Greenfields semi finals.

There has been a lot of excitement with many closely fought matches and the title races are still open in many divisions. Here is a run-down on some of the stand out performances in the League so far.

In the Boys Under 18 league, Dragons are leading the way with 4 games unbeaten and scoring a total of 25 goals with only 1 goal against. GMIS are second with 3 wins and 1 defeat. It looks like Dragons will be hard to catch.

In the Under 16’s, we have three leagues with the stand out performers being BSJ Red in the A league, still unbeaten. In the B league, Bina Bangsa PIK is leading the way with Binus Simprug and Blue Sharks both unbeaten in the C League. 

In the U14 A leagues Muhammadiyah are again very strong as they lead the way with the equally impressive Dragons in close pursuit. Both teams have 100% win records and it looks like the winner of their much anticipated head to head encounter will decide the title!

In the B league, it looks like two teams as well, Sekolah Global Mandiri and Sekolah Cita Buana, are racing for the title.

Al Jabr is dominating the C league and is currently unbeaten after 6 games.

The D league has 2 unbeaten teams, with Jakarta International Korean School and Global Sevilla Pulomas who have both already played and won 3 games. 

BSJ Under 12 Red A are again dominating after winning the Under 10 title last year. They have played 6 and have won all their games. Dragons ran them close but were just beaten 2-1 in the crunch game.

In the 12B league it looks like SIS United and the French International School will fight out the honors in this league with both teams unbeaten so far.

The C league has a number of possible permutations with Al Azhar top but followed closely by Raffles Christian School and BSJ White. It looks like it could be a close finish .

In the Under 12 D and E leagues, Tunas Muda and Global Sevilla Pulomas look to be fighting for the D title, with the E league Bina Bangsa PIK and Bunda Mulia School being the front-runners.

This year we have had a record number of teams for the Under 10’s and Under 8’s competing in 13 leagues! It is great to see more and more younger children playing.

The teams currently dominating the Under 10’s are Dragons PIE and the French School in the A league, with Dragons PEL and ACG in the B’s; Madania and Avicenna for the C’s; Sekolah Bogor Raya and the Deutsche Schule Jakarta leading the D’s; Gandhi Memorial International School and PSKD Mandiri in the E league; Bina Bangsa PIK are the runaway leaders of the F league, and finally there is a four school-race with Sekolah Victory Plus, Highscope Bintaro Sekolah Global Mandiri and Al Jabr all vying to win the league.

The Under 8’s have been great this year, and it is always nice to see them playing competitive matches. In the A league, BSJ Red and Dragons PEL are leading on the same points but Dragons have the edge having beaten BSJ Red in the head-to-head match.

In the B league, the French school and the Netherlands Intercommunity School are first and second respectively with the French having a 3 point advantage and already having beaten the Netherlands school 4-2.

The C league is also a close race with Al Azhar 12 Cikarang leading by 3 points from BSJ Blue. 

In the lower leagues of D, E and F, the teams vying for the league champions are Madania currently tied with NHJS on the same points for the E League and Harapan Ibu leading the way in the F league.

The Girls this year have had fewer teams and we are encouraging schools to put forward girls sides for next year. There are three age categories for the girls including Under 11, 14 and 19.

In the under 11’s the BSJ Blues have an unblemished record winning all their 5 games without defeat. Runner up this year looks like it will go to either BSJ Red or FC Candy Dragons who both have won 3 games.

We have an exciting league finish in the Under 14’s where BSJ A Red and Dragons FC A both have 12 points having played 4 and 5 matches respectively. On current form it looks like BSJ A Red will be hard to beat.

In the U19 Girls, Dragons FC A are still unbeaten with BSJ FC, however BSJ have only played one game so far so the race is still on.

We would like to congratulate all the players and their coaches for their performances not only in terms of the skills, team work and number of goals scored but also for the team spirit, discipline, sportsmanship and fair play which has been on display across all venues week in week out.

One of the other areas that the league has supported with Coca Cola over the past few years is the Football for Life charity arm.

We are proud to announce that Coca Cola will be inviting 20 kids suffering with cancer to watch one of the JSFA games next Saturday 26th March at the Al Azhar football field. We will also organize a mini tournament for underprivileged kids selected from the Bekasi area. JSFA is proud to support Coca Cola Amatil on this special day and photos of the event will be posted on the website. Special thanks also go out to the ASA Foundation for assisting with this event.
